Transpower is at the heart of this transformation, ensuring our infrastructure, systems, and people are ready for an expected 68% increase in electricity demand by 2050.About the teamOur Grid Delivery division oversees all work on New Zealand's transmission network, delivering $300M in capital projects and $100M in operational expenses annually.
The National Delivery - Investigations team focuses on developing investment business cases for the National Grid.
As our team expands, we're excited to welcome a motivated and inquisitive Associate to join us.The opportunityBased in Wellington, you'll coordinate the investigation phase of small to medium-sized projects across substations, transmission lines, secondary systems, and customer portfolios.
This is a hands-on role with excellent support from your team.Your responsibilities will include:Planning and anticipating steps to ensure investigation projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standardsCoordinating contributions from internal and external groups to ensure timely project submissions for approvalResponding to information requests, including project statuses, approvals, and variationsYou'll be paired with an experienced Project Manager for mentoring, and your National Delivery Manager will assign projects designed to provide variety and learning opportunities.
Training from the Project Management Office (PMO) and collaboration with a cohort of Associates will help you build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.While your primary focus will be delivering projects, you'll also contribute to business change by working with stakeholders to implement improvements.About youKnown for your initiative and motivation, you approach challenges with curiosity and solutions in mind.
