The Opportunity We're looking for a tech-savvy problem-solver to step into the exciting world of broadcasting as an Associate Engineer – Audio and Video.
This role is all about keeping our audio and video systems running smoothly, ensuring that our live broadcasts and digital media productions go off without a hitch.
You'll be working hands-on with cutting-edge equipment, tackling challenges head-on, and collaborating with a passionate team to deliver exceptional results.
How You'll Do It Audio-Visual Support & Operations:Ensure flawless live broadcasts by supporting audio and video systems.Assist with remote and outside broadcasts, including live streaming setup.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during productions.Maintain and calibrate studio equipment including cameras, microphones, and mixers.Project AssistanceSupport senior engineers in system upgrades and installations.Contribute to the planning and execution of audio-visual projects.Technical TroubleshootingDiagnose and resolve issues to minimise operational disruptions.Escalate complex problems to senior engineers or vendors.Stakeholder CollaborationWork with teams to tailor solutions to their audio-visual needs.Provide training to users on system functionalities.About You We're looking for a proactive individual with:
A diploma or degree in IT, Audio Engineering, or a related field.1 - 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably with AV systems.Hands-on knowledge of studio AV systems, vMix, NDI, SRT, RTMP or related software and protocols.Understanding of live news environments and their software/hardware needs.Basic networking and IT infrastructure knowledge.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).What's On Offer This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to join one of New Zealand's most dynamic media organisations.
