During term breaks we may have work if we have letting.About the RoleMontana Group are looking for a Sous Chef to join our enthusiastic team based at our High School Boarding house kitchen.As the Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef in a friendly team to deliver an excellent dining experience to Epsom Girls Grammar School boarding students.Uniforms providedOperates during school terms with a shutdown over summer - take the time off or explore seasonal roles within other parts of Montana.Great job security, regular work every week, awesome opportunities for growth and development.Specific duties include:Food preparation.Front of house service and help with banquet lunch and dinnersAssisting the Head Chef with menu planning, budgeting, and production planningHelping to develop knowledge and skills in junior staff members.Helping to effectively manage communication between catering assistance, cleaners, student, Epsom House Management, and the Head Chef.Stepping in to work autonomously and assume the responsibilities of the Head Chef in their absence.About you:This role would be great for someone with well-developed cooking skills and an understanding of food safety and allergens.We can train the right person to do the job to Montana Group standards, all we need from you is a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, good time-management and someone who wants to be able to enjoy themselves at work.These roles are guaranteed throughout the school year, with potential for extra optional work in the company during school breaks.Conveniently placed between Mt Eden and Newmarket, the leafy Epsom site means you can avoid commuting to the city center every day.About Us:Montana Group isthe largest privately-owned NZ Food and Events Company, we pride ourselves on the Montana difference.
