Associate Director, Institutional Client CoverageCommonwealth Bank of Australia – Auckland, North IslandOpportunity to join CBA's Institutional Client Coverage teamBe part of this progressive and innovative environmentAuckland, NZ based roleSee yourself in our teamThe team's purpose is to provide IB&M clients with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives.Coverage operates across three client teams: Institutional Client Coverage, Corporate Client Coverage, and Natural Resources, Energy and Carbon.These client teams are supported by our Transaction Banking Solutions, Risk and Control Advisory and Delivery, Capital Structuring, Sustainable Finance and ESG and Chief Operating Office teams.Do work that mattersYou will contribute to achieving the team's core purpose by supporting the New Zealand Coverage Director with the development and day-to-day management of client portfolios, including relationship engagement and development, loan and product origination, credit risk management, and portfolio operational duties.Key tasks will include but not be limited to:Develop deeper client relationships and use your origination skills to develop new business opportunities.Advise, structure and execute product solutions, tailored to the needs of clients.Develop deal flow from clients to support IB&M's Originate, Transform, Distribute model.Increase the penetration of transaction banking and working capital services.Be the first line of defence in CBA's risk management.Supporting coverage and servicing needs of our clients including for complex transactions, operational requirements and day-to-day enquiries across the client portfolio.Gain and display deep market knowledge to assist our clients in their businesses.Proactively advise, structure and execute product solutions tailored to the needs of clients, including guiding transactions through the credit approval process.Support more junior team members and help provide on-the-job coaching and guidance.We're interested in hearing fromCommitted candidates, seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in investment banking, a corporate or institutional bank or debt advisory firm.
