We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Clinical Charge Nurse (ACCN) to join our team at Waitakere (WTH) Emergency Department (ED).
The ACCN role entails four 12-hour shifts across the fortnight.
The role will require shift management, leadership, collaboration, and support of the ED team, patients, and whanau.
This is a dynamic and positive role that requires passion and enthusiasm for managing a constantly changing environment and interesting and challenging situations, utilising a variety of innovative approaches.

We are seeking an expert (Level 4) emergency Registered Nurse with extensive and advanced emergency nursing skills to join our dynamic ED team of health professionals.
An understanding of the ED environment providing health care services for the people in our West community is essential.
We place a huge emphasis on customer service, best patient care, and positive teamwork in our ED, and expect exemplary senior nurse role-modelling within this position.
You would join an expert and motivational WTH ED team who cover both adults and paediatrics in our ED.
You would be mentored and well-supported into the role.
Work as an integral and cohesive member of the ED ACCN team, with the Charge Nurse Manager and Operations Manager to provide efficient and effective shift management of the ED team and service, meeting patient-focused needs of our patients/whanau to the highest standard.Manage the development of a group of ED RNs.As a Senior ED nurse, manage your ongoing learning and professional development with openness to constructive feedback.Participate in Quality Improvement project(s).Exhibit advanced interpersonal communication and relationships in ED and across WDHB.To be considered for this position, the following will be required: Registered Nurse in New Zealand with current APC.At least 5 years of ED nursing experience, adult and paediatric.At least an expert Emergency RN Level 4 with a contemporary and extensive range of ED nursing experience, knowledge, and skills, and a reputation for clinical expertise and professional honesty and integrity in ED.Post-graduate Nursing papers (in progress).An excellent role model with practice at a Senior level.
A team player with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm and resilient individual with a can-do attitude and a passion for seeking improvement and quality.
