Our multi-disciplinary team provides care across the whole life spectrum including:
Paediatric and obstetric patients Those requiring cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and complex medical or trauma care, including renal replacement A retrieval service utilising helicopter and fixed wing flights Key accountabilities of this role include:
Strategic leadership Staff education Development and recruitment Financial management Production planning Quality and risk management Supervision, mentoring, and developing relationships through close liaison with other services both internal and external Minimum requirements include:
Current NZ APC and relevant post graduate qualifications A Senior Registered Nurse with significant Critical Care experience A clear focused vision; striving for contemporary practice, being 'firm, but fair,' with the ability to inspire staff Proven success in nursing leadership complemented by knowledge of clinical quality, safety, and best practice Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($116,040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
