This ladies fashion retailer is seeking a passionate assistant store manager for their Riccarton location. You will have a love for all things fashion and bring a positive energy to fellow staff and customers alike. An amazing opportunity to work every day with extensive stylish ranges.
The Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join this well-known ladies fashion retailer in Christchurch. This role will see you lead, inspire and coach a small team of passionate staff reporting to and supported by a highly experienced Store Manager and Area Manager. Driving Sales and KPIs, customer engagement and team member coaching and development. Identify areas of opportunity for your store and team in a high-profile space. Most importantly, you will thrive with customer service and put customers ahead of all else.
Role & Responsibilities:
An exceptional salesperson: somebody who enjoys working with fashion and creating a great customer experience.
Ensure efficient operation of your store to excel in sales targets, KPIs, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels and wage control.
Motivate your team to achieve targets and provide stand-out customer service.
Closely monitor and track store sales - acknowledge outstanding results and identify any areas of missed opportunity.
Effectively manage the wage costs in store, adhering to weekly wage targets and company rostering standards.
Coach and mentor your team to maintain high team morale and encourage their individual development by ensuring training and succession plans are in place.
Ensure efficient OH&S management and adhere to state and national OH&S legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience as a full-time / senior casual sales assistant, key holder, supervisor or 3IC.
Be truly passionate about working in fashion and customer service.
Enjoy leading & inspiring a team to succeed.
Have a history of driving sales and meeting KPIs and targets.
A knack for stock control and visual merchandising.
Must be living in and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand - NZ / Aus Citizenship or NZ Permanent Residency. Please do not apply if you are not in New Zealand. This position is not suitable for visa sponsorship.
