Determined to create a positive environmental contribution, Kowtow works with nature to provide people with a natural and circular clothing solution, whilst working in sustainability and innovation.The Role and what you will bringWe have an exciting opportunity in our beautiful Newmarket store for an experienced retail specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Retail Manager with developing and motivating our close-knit retail team, building and maintaining relationships with our loyal customer base, and managing the day-to-day aspects of running a successful retail store.If you have proven experience as an Assistant Manager, or have been in a senior retail sales role and feel ready to step up, we'd love to hear from you!We are open to discussing a flexible roster with candidates who have availability of 30-40 hours per week, including weekends.The Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the Retail Manager with daily store operations including administration, staffing, and stock control.Meet and exceed sales targets, and provide regular sales reporting.Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and drive the development of long-term customer relationships.Encourage positive team culture, consistently training and motivating the retail sales team.Maintain the highest standard of store presentation at all times.Inventory management, including stocktakes, product launches, sales, and seasonal store events.Skills and ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience in a retail role (preferably in fashion or similar industry).Proven leadership and staff development skills.Sales driven and results-oriented with a strong customer focus.Experience in stock management systems (preferably Cin7).Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.Literate in Mac, Google Apps, Shopify, and POS systems.Organised, confident, and positive team player with excellent verbal and written skills.Available to work a flexible roster including weekends and public holidays.Ideally, you care about preserving the planet as much as we do and have a genuine interest in circularity, sustainability, and innovation.Working at KowtowAt Kowtow, we are lucky to work with a team of incredibly creative and talented people, and we are proud of our kind and caring culture.
