Auckland Sports College (ASC) is a proposed Y11-14 single-sex (male) Charter School, with an application for establishment successfully through to the 2nd Stage.
If offered a contract, the school will commence in term 1, 2025, from premises in Otahuhu.
Auckland Sports College is different from other schools: We are an 'achievement added' school.
Our main measure of success is the academic gains our students make.
We regard secondary school as a youth development service and operate within a positive youth development framework.
We operate extended hours, with tutoring and some teaching provided in the evenings.
There is no obligation on teachers to teach after 3pm.
