Flex Fitness Colombo is opening late 2024, and we're looking for an assistant manager/personal trainer to join our team in one of the newest premium gym facilities in Christchurch. We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is energetic, positive, but most importantly, loves to help people while creating and maintaining a friendly and welcoming club culture.
There are 20-25 hours per week available as the Assistant Manager, with the option of personal training and/or group fitness coaching outside of those hours.
The Assistant Manager role will entail helping the club manager in all areas such as admin, sales, prospect calls, body scans, cleaning and general enquiries. The role will begin when the gym opens in December (provided there are no delays in the build process). You must be qualified to work as a PT (level 4 or above) to coach or PT, hold a first aid certificate, and will need to provide a copy of these.
Responsibilities
Member Experience:
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for members and visitors.
Address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Monitor member satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance their experience.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance member retention and reduce churn.
Engage with members regularly to understand their needs and goals.
Implement initiatives such as member challenges, rewards programs, and personalised interactions to increase member loyalty.
Operations Management:
Complete daily gym operations, including opening and closing procedures, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.
Manage facility upkeep and maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment for members.
Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Sales and Marketing:
Execute effective marketing strategies to attract new members and retain current ones.
Assist in coordinating internal marketing initiatives to promote gym services through online channels, social media, and local advertising.
Monitor membership sales and implement initiatives to achieve membership growth targets.
Health and Safety:
Enforce health and safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of members and staff.
Conduct regular safety inspections, and identify and address any potential hazards promptly.
Ensure that staff first aid certificates are up to date.
Community Engagement:
Foster a sense of community within the gym by organizing events, challenges, and workshops.
Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to promote health and wellness initiatives.
