We seek an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic assistant head of department to join our PE and health faculty.
Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum .
The successful candidate will have:
Professional leadership skills to motivate and enhance the performance of kaiako
A genuine passion for teaching and a clear understanding of NCEA
Experience in differentiated teaching at the junior and senior levels
Proven classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all akonga
The ability to be a team player who will work collaboratively to raise student achievement
Commitment to whakamana the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ensure te reo me ona Tikanga is upheld
Relational practices to tautoko positive relationships within our kura
A commitment to mana orite mo te matauranga maori and cultural responsiveness is also essential.
