Assistant Herd Manager

Our farm is located only 5 minutes drive to Ashburton and offers a great opportunity to enjoy a balance of city and farming life.Due to one of our staff deciding to pursue a career change from dairy farming, we are looking for an Assistant Herd Manager to join our team at Lindale Farming Company Ltd starting January 2025. Experience will be beneficial; we seek a reliable and honest individual who loves dairy farming and has a genuine interest in the field. We will be milking 800 cows using a 54 bail rotary with ACR and automatic teat spray, and we utilize Allflex collars. The farm is irrigated primarily with centre pivot irrigation, along with a few K-lines and sprinklers.What we are looking for:Good communication skillsConfidence in daily tasks such as milking, fencing, and moving irrigationWillingness to learn and a can-do attitudeA criminal check will be conducted, so no criminal history is acceptable.Important: This position is not accredited, so please do not apply if you are not legally allowed to work in New Zealand.
