Assistant Head of School - Primary Industries An opportunity to lead and enhance the quality of educational programmes within the school, ensuring they meet the highest standards and align with institutional goals. This role involves managing resources, staff, and stakeholder relationships, while actively pursuing new opportunities for growth and development.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $100,000 and $120,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The Assistant Head of School - Primary Industries is based in our Faculty of Commerce and Technology | Te Pukenga reporting to the Head of School, Primary Industries and will be responsible for:
Ensure Programme Quality : Maintain the highest standards for all school programmes, including quality assurance practices.
Resource Management : Oversee staffing, resources, and timetabling requirements for the Hawke's Bay PI team.
Stakeholder Engagement : Lead and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and develop professional networks locally and nationally.
Staff Development : Manage recruitment, orientation, mentorship, performance reviews, and professional development for staff.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Leadership and Management : Strong leadership skills with experience in managing staff and resources effectively.
Communication and Networking : Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional networks.
Quality Assurance : Knowledge of quality assurance practices, including moderation, evaluations, and self-assessment.
Strategic Thinking : Ability to identify and pursue new opportunities for the school, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
