The Role | Te mahi The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will provide leadership to the bar and restaurant teams to maximise Food and Beverage profitability. Assisting the F & B Manager with overseeing the operations within the food and beverage service delivery, food and beverage preparation, production and implementation of food and beverage menus which are designed to deliver innovative F&B concepts meeting market and customer needs and falls within budgeted guidelines are the main considerations. This is a full time permanent role minimum guaranteed hours are 40 per week with the salary rate of $65,000 - $72,000 based in Novotel Christchurch Airport Hotel. Responsibilities | Nga haepapa Leadership of the bar and restaurant outlets including the bar, restaurant, conferencing, room service, and minibar operations whilst on shift. Use the collective people, and equipment resources efficiently to meet the needs of respective food outlets. Meet and exceed guest expectations, enabling the Food & Beverage operation of the hotel to be recognised as a purveyor of consistent, quality and value for money cuisine. Ensure food and beverage standards, preparation, presentation, and production techniques are established and monitored to meet Brand Standard guidelines and maintained at that level. Work with the restaurant and bar teams and take corrective action where appropriate, and within company guidelines, if standards are not met. Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire F&B Service team to meet Health & Safety regulations and Food Control guidelines complying with the Food Safety Act 2014. Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and amendments, Smoke Free Environments Act 1990 – New Zealand Legislation. Comply with the terms and conditions of the premises' liquor license/s Requirements About you | Ko koe tenei Previous senior Hotel Food & Beverage experience essential Advanced Computer Skills – MS Office Suite Knowledge of PMS such as Opera Current Managers Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights and public holidays. Valid Right to Work in NZ NZQF Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)?
