Te aheinga - The opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Assistant Duty Lifeguard to join our team. This role involves ensuring the safety of all patrons, supervising pool activities, and assisting with daily operations of the aquatic centre. You will be an integral part of our team, providing support to the Duty Lifeguard and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. The role will require applicants to be available to work on a roster between the hours of 5am - 7.30pm, this does also involve working two out of three weekends. Ensure health and safety is maintained through actively supervising all activities within the centre that meet industry standards and respond to any incidents and emergency situationsPerform water chemical tests to ensure quality of the pool waterAssist with the identification of maintenance requirementsAssist with the leadership and mentoring to other lifeguardsStep up and act in the Duty Lifeguard position when requiredActively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislationHold a current Comprehensive First Aid and a Pool Lifeguard Practicing certificateExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHold a current Swimming Pool Water Treatment qualification is an advantageHe aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?
