About the Business:The purpose of the Communications Department is to communicate and advance the messages and mission of The Salvation Army, raising awareness, understanding and internal morale, and increasing support for the Army's mission goals.
The department's focus is providing strategic communications advice, publications expertise including the monthly SALT magazine, in-house design, media engagement, the territorial website and intranet, and social media channelsAbout the Role:To provide communications support to the Communications Department in particular the Digital and Brand Engagement Manager and the Web Content Manager.To provide administrative support to the Communications DepartmentWhat will your responsibilities beAssist with Digital and Social MediaWriting copy for the Salvation Army magazine SALT and other related tasksGeneral Administration and supportAssist with accounts and other financial requirements of the department Our ideal candidate will have:Excellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge and experience in managing digital media would be an advantageMS Word and Excel experienceOne or two years previous experience in communications and/or administration would be an advantageGood cross-cultural understanding and ability to work cooperatively.A bachelor's degree in communication or other job-specific appropriate degreeOur offer to you:5 additional days leaveDiscounted Medical Insurance with Southern CrossTSA discount card for discount with various retailors such as Beaurepairs, Noel Leeming, Placemakers and Torpedo7Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeingSubsidised flu vaccinationsCandidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society' This role is permanent/full time/and hours worked will be 37.5 per week.The starting annual salary for this role will fall between $59,000 and $62,000This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
