Your mahi for VSA can create new opportunities for people that will ripple across communities for generations to come.Te ahua o Te Turunga – The nature of the positionAs our Communications Advisor and a part of VSA's small, newly refreshed but high-performing Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for telling the beautiful stories of our volunteers and partner organisations' capacity-building efforts across the Pacific, utilising multiple platforms, formats, and distributions. You will work closely with all of our teams across VSA, source content and great stories, as well as update, maintain, and eventually redesign the VSA website to maximise engagement and the user experience for our stakeholders, and be deeply involved with our overall communications and PR planning.We work collaboratively to increase the reach and impact of VSA's profile across Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific so we can attract and reach a wide variety of audiences, including potential volunteers, members, and donors. As one of our leads in communications and content, you will get to highlight some of the great development mahi that our partners achieve in partnerships with our volunteers.Reporting to the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Manager, you'll be a pivotal member of the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team, and the wider Stakeholder Engagement Group.Nga tino Pukenga/Wheako – Essential skills/experiences for the roleThis is a rare, broad, and varied communications role, taking on developing and delivering communications initiatives and projects, researching and writing content for multiple communication channels, and website management.
