Assistant Accountant - Professional Services Firm This is a newly created role due to business growth. Based in our Oriental Parade offices working with a fantastic team, your main role will be to provide financial accounting services to our key clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing effective and efficient bookkeeping services for our clients, including payroll, AR and debtor's collection, AP and Xero processing
Preparing monthly management reports for our clients
Completing GST returns and overseeing essential IRD processes and target dates
Liaising with IRD and resolving requests, queries, and issues
To be successful in this role, you should:
Have 3+ years' experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably in a Professional Services environment
Be an experienced Xero user and familiar with add-ons like HubDoc and ApprovalMax
Have experience in AP, AR, credit control and payroll
Have a good understanding of NZ Tax requirements
Know your way around technology and be a fast learner
Have great problem solving and critical thinking skills
Have the confidence to develop relationships and build rapport with the team, clients, and business partners
