We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team.
Mo te turanga mahi | About the role
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial accounting team in the provision of accurate financial and management information.
Our team covers monthly statutory reporting, tax compliance for ACC and our claimants, financial controls and reconciliations.
The team strives in the provision of high quality, effective and timely financial accounting services across ACC and this role will engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
This is a permanent, Wellington based role.
The appointing salary range for this role is $77,502 - $94,700 depending on skills and experience and internal relativities.
ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

We'll be looking for:
A tertiary qualification in accounting.Full membership or studying towards full membership of CA ANZ Chartered Accountant or an equivalent overseas body.Experience in a similar role in a finance function.Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and effective stakeholder management skills.Strong Excel skills and an ability to analyse problems that may involve large sets of data.Good Power BI skills will be an advantage.A good eye for detail and accuracy.A proactive, positive, and self-motivated approach.An interest in continuous improvement and refining of accounting policies, processes, and procedures.This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a large, complex, and interesting organisation with plenty of challenge and variety.
