Take ownership of transactional processing, reconciliations, month end processing and compliance in this autonomous Assistant Accountant role! Join a tight knit team in a reputable NZ owned and operated company.
About the Role: You will be responsible for the processing of the businesses financial information and record keeping. You will complete the monthly management accounts and ensure the overall accuracy of financial information. Beyond this, tasks will include the following:
Inputting supplier invoices into the system
Reconcile the fixed asset register
Perform bank reconciliations and process bank payments
Prepare balance sheet reconciliation
Assist branches with information
Ad-hoc duties as required
About You: To be suitable for this role, you will be an experienced Assistant Accountant who is happy to jump into the role and make it your own. You will be adaptable, a team player and have a can-do attitude. Beyond this, you will ideally have some of the following skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and a continuous improvement attitude.
Proficient knowledge of Excel and top tier accounting software.
Collaborative, adaptable and an active team member!
