H2R Consulting are currently assisting a large organisation locate a Wellington based Assistant Accountant for a 5-6 month temp assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and potentially go permanent.
Basics:
5+ months assignment
$40.00 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
City based
Great team / supportive training
WFH ability
Need to have:
Strong background and experience in AP and AR processing and reporting
Experience and skillset in multi bank account reconciliations (bank recs)
IRD reconciliation experience an advantage
IRD / Tax knowledge an advantage
Knowledge of AP automation as this is in the plans
Be a driven people person who is self-lead
Able to follow your nose and find the right people to talk to in the organisation
More about the role:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Administration of the Purchasing Card & Cash Expense function in terms of policy and procedures.
Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Fixed assets accounting and maintenance.
Complete the month end and year end accounting and reporting tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure tax compliance and other IR deductions for suppliers and claimants are met and that business processes are followed.
Establish and maintain up-to-date process documentation for all areas of responsibility.
Identify process and system exceptions and escalate anomalies as and when required.
On-going development of the finance operations function, including business improvement and process change initiatives.
