Assistant Accountant - WhangareiAbout the role:As the Assistant Accountant, you will report to our Accountant and ensure that key financial tasks are met, which support the wider business. We can look at a 6 - 12 month contract as well.Tasks include but are not limited to:General ledger reconciliationsAssisting with preparation of monthly accountsChecking of weekly payrollChecking of weekly and monthly Accounts PayableComplete FBT & GST returnsBank reconciliationsPerformance Bond formsSupport with additional analysisAssistance with Accounts ReceivableAbout you:At least 5 years experience in a similar senior administrative role, ideally within the construction industryA Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not a requirementUnderstanding of basic financial, accounting, and the month end reporting cycleExperience with payroll and knowledge of current legislation is preferredThe ability to produce accurate financial reportsExcellent time management and attention to detail with a think outside the box attitudeA pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test, will be required for the chosen candidate.You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.Contact Paula Kalkhoven at 09 430 3777 or email your CV and cover letter to ******, or apply through our website.
