Assistant Accountant

My client is in an ever-evolving industry and over the last few years is now the second largest organisation in NZ for what they specialise in due to their innovative thinking and ability to adapt to the market quickly.
Based in the CBD, this position will be supporting the Finance Manager as an Assistant Accountant. This is a full-time position and is based in their office Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be carrying out: All accounts payable tasks. Accounts receivable. Bank reconciliations. Journals. Payroll for 12 staff (all salaried). GST, FBT, PAYE. Adhoc administration tasks from time to time. Our ideal candidate will have: At least 3 years experience in an Assistant Accountant position in a high volume commercial environment. Strong attention to detail. Xero experience is great but not essential. Full unrestricted working rights to work in New Zealand, as my client is not an accredited employer and cannot sponsor a candidate.
