Reporting directly to our CFO, this Assistant Accountant role offers variety and an opportunity to grow your career. Our Finance team enjoy their work, playing an important part in our business and our ability to respond to our customers and changes in the market – they also have a bit of fun!About the RoleMonth end journals, reconciliations & closing activitiesReporting & assisting with financial statements & auditsResponding to queries, tracking & analysing invoice costsManage prepayments, fixed assets, corporate accruals & deferred incomePreparing and managing our quarterly vendor rebate programmeProject work, review of variances, trends & process improvementsAbout YouProven accounting experience with 1-2 years in a similar role.Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred but not essential if you have 5-6 years broad experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of financial principles, accounting & the month end reporting cycleAbility to produce accurate financial reports & spot inconsistenciesPractices excellent communication & interpersonal skillsKeen to learn, grow your career & improve processesMS Suite, time management & analytical skillsAbout UsMarket leader in business consumables & solutions100% Kiwi & privately owned with established & growing customer baseAgile B2B responding to customer needsReputable & popular brandsTruly diverse company to reflect our customersWe have over 70 years' experience in getting it right.
