This rare opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company promises potential candidates an exciting and rewarding career path.   The Role: Covington Group is now seeking a hardworking, motivated, and efficient Assistant Accountant to report to and work alongside the Group Business Manager, who also carries the Chief Executive Officer responsibilities. The primary objective of the Assistant Accountant role is to create business efficiencies and accurate processing of crucial data through: 1. Accurate and timely day-to-day financial processing of the operating businesses. 2. Compliance with IRD reporting and payments for the group. 3. Enhancing systems and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness 4. Support of Covington Head Office team 5. Office management duties for Inugo and Covington Head Office The role is highly varied and provides crucial support. It covers several accounting requirements, including payroll, payment processing, reconciliations, month-end, invoicing, cash flow, and other finance assistance as senior team members require. No two days are the same, and the role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment. Background: You will have significant Assistant Accounting experience in a private business environment. You will be highly numerical, logical, and accurate in your day-to-day work. You may receive multiple requests, so you will be an organisational superstar who can prioritise and think on your feet. With exceptional computer skills, especially in Xero and Excel, you have a natural eye for detail and a desire to get things done. You are pragmatic and eager, with resilience and a "can do" attitude. You are keen to get involved in an exciting business where it is fun to come to work every day.
