Assistant Accountant

The Role: As an Assistant Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll manage accounts for seven distinct companies within our group. Enjoy subsidized insurance benefits and ample free parking while receiving support for your CA/CPA journey!
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial accounts and reports for multiple businesses.
Communicate effectively with business managers and stakeholders.
Handle accounts payable/receivable and assist auditors.
Conduct stock takes in collaboration with warehouse managers.
Analyze supplier reports, negotiate costs, and manage supplier relationships.
Support sales admins with customer and supplier management systems.
Oversee fleet management tasks.

Our Ideal Candidate:

2+ years in financial accounting, ideally within steel manufacturing, processing, distribution, or construction.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance, with comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand accounting process.
Advanced Excel, data analysis, Power BI, and NetSuite proficiency.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, confident attitude.
