The Assistant A/V Director will assist the A/V Director in working towards elevating and standardizing the audio/visual quality across all Midtown services, gatherings, and broadcasts.The Assistant A/V Director will work closely with A/V Director, and congregational Worship Leaders and XDs to provide support, resources, and training for audio/visual needs.Functions & ResponsibilitiesGain thorough knowledge of existing audio/visual equipmentAssist A/V Director in elevating and standardize audio/visual equipment across Midtown movementOversee Crieve Hall, East Nashville, Napier, Waverly/Belmont, and West Nashville campus audio/visual needsPurchase, install, setup, and repair audio/video equipment as neededOrganize, update, and maintain all audio/visual equipmentCreate and maintain inventory of audio/visual equipmentSchedule needed paid/volunteer audio/visual engineers and assistantsBuild and develop team of capable audio engineersProvide technical support, solutions, and resources for audio/visual needs for main congregational servicesManage and complete audio/visual projects as requestedWork with worship leaders and XDs to develop vision, plans, and budgets for individual congregational audio/visual needsProduce high quality live, streamed, and recorded audio/video content for Sunday services as neededProduce high quality audio/visual content for events and video recordings outside of Sunday services as neededProduce and deliver high quality audio recordings for all podcast needsDesign, assemble, and maintain portable audio/visual systemManage and fulfill all incoming requests for audio/visual systems and engineers related to events outside of main congregational servicesProvide technical support, resources, & training for portable audio/visual systemsProvide audio/visual equipment and stage setup support for all services and special eventsAssist A/V Director in providing design, purchasing, installation, and training support for audio/visual needs for new congregations, and oversee launch and transition to Assistant A/V DirectorArchive recordings of all events and servicesEducation, Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have: High level of understanding of audio/visual systems Experience working with and running live audio/visual systems Ability to effectively train and develop engineers Ability to manage and prioritize projects Strong supervisory and leadership skills to build high-performing teams Additional skills and experience:Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Planning Center, Asana and industry standard audio/visual softwarePersonal Characteristics:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent administration and organizational skills, and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCan work independently and can work through teams and direct reportsIs a humble leaderIs coachable and applies feedbackIs not afraid of healthy conflictIf married, has a healthy marriage that cares for their spouse and or children wellApproaches daily work as a calling, not a job
