About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset Management Specialist to oversee the asset lifecycle management of six school facilities as part of our Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract.
This role is vital in ensuring that the assets across these schools are maintained to the highest standards, aligned with our contractual obligations, and operationally efficient.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, this permanent, full-time position is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Leveraging your strong background in asset management, your key responsibilities will include: Manage the lifecycle of assets across six school facilities, ensuring maintenance meets contractual standards.
Implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and lifecycle schedules to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespans.
Lead asset replacement programs, ensuring timely execution of upgrades.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and PPP contract requirements, providing accurate reports and audit support.
Develop and execute strategic asset management plans, aligned with KPIs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and relationship management.
Analyse asset data to drive performance improvements and cost-efficiency.
Support budget management, with knowledge of indexation and CPI adjustments.
About You To excel in this role, you will have proven experience in managing the lifecycle of critical assets, ideally in a facilities or infrastructure environment.
You will also be proficient in regulatory compliance, data analysis, and stakeholder communication.
Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following: Tertiary qualification in relevant field (Engineering, facilities/asset management etc) is preferred but not essential.
Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) is desirable , however not essential.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle planning and preventative maintenance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Competency in using asset management software and data analytics tools (Maximo is highly desirable).
