This role reports into the Head of Asset Management and Planning, and will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the strategic planning for all LPC assets. There will be a strong focus on developing and implementing strategies that will prioritise availability, reliability and continuous improvement, as well as minimising overall cost, in what is a dynamic environment where asset demand frequently fluctuates.About you:You will bring a strong background in maintaining large and complex equipment and machinery with proven experience in the delivery of Asset Management outcomes. Your proven background will allow you to provide engineering level expertise and peer review services to the team, to be able to lead the development and implementation of required maintenance and interventions to ensure our assets are always available when required. In this role you will be responsible for 2 direct reports, and display strong people and safety leadership. You will be agile and flexible and be able to work with the everchanging and flexible industry that is shipping.Skills and experience:Tertiary degree in Engineering or Asset Management is preferred, a proven track record of managing and maintaining in a similar environment may be considered.Proven experience in maintenance planning with a reliability focus.Sound knowledge of and ability to use Infor M3 or a similar ERP system.Strong analytical ability and financial acumen.Previous experience with Port asset and equipment or Port Operations is desirable.About LPC:We are Lyttelton Port Company (LPC), the largest Port in the South Island, committed to Leading the Way for our people and our region.
