About the role: Reporting to the General Manager Sales & Marketing, you will be an integral part of our sales team. Based in Auckland, the Area Sales Manager is primarily responsible for the management and growth of our South Auckland Accounts and will also have the responsibility of developing the Waikato region. Ideally experienced in Material Handling or Capital Equipment sales, you will drive sales though existing accounts with a high focus on new account acquisition and development. Your focus on actively growing business through solutions selling and maintaining a high level of rapport and customer service will ensure your success in this role. Core Tasks: Development of strategies to ensure growth and long-term business relationships. Lead generation, calculation, negotiation, development and implementation of contracts and agreements. Support the Partner Network with technical and pricing requests, customer tender submission and presentations as required. Achieve set KPIs as outlined in the Sales Commission Policy.Maintain and effectively use the CRM and provide reports in a timely manner.Provide creative customer solutions, pricing and conditions that lead to the successful realisation of our market position.Build stakeholder relationships internally and externally.Skills and Qualities required: Minimum 5 years sales experience.Demonstrated financial acumen (interpretation of key financial indicators to drive decision making).Proven success with new business development.Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. Track record of consistently delivering results.Development of longer term sales strategies.Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Excellent communication skills, an attention to detail and an ability to communicate complex information. Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent work experience).Material Handling industry experience highly regarded – but not essential.
