Area Operations and Business Development ManagerFront Office & Guest Services (Hospitality & Tourism)In a newly created role, we are looking for a motivated, career-driven hotelier to join the leadership team as the Area Operations and Business Development Manager. Reporting directly to the owner, this role requires a strategic leader who can ensure seamless operations, drive business growth, and maintain high standards of service.Key Responsibilities:Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate all departments across the properties, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop staff to achieve operational excellence and foster a positive work environment.Strategic Coordination: Collaborate with headquarters to align sales strategies and achieve business goals.Maximizing Yield: Implement innovative sales practices to maximize room yield and revenue.Account Management: Manage key account relationships and drive sales to achieve budget expectations.Performance Improvement: Implement processes and initiatives to improve operational performance and guest satisfaction.Commercial Outcomes: Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue streams.Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.Customer Service: Maintain high standards of guest service and address customer feedback to improve overall guest experience.Health & Safety: Ensure the hotel is fully compliant with SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards, understanding current health and safety obligations.Qualifications:Proven experience in hotel operations management.Previous experience leading a team.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.Application Process:Applicants for this position should have NZ residency and currently be located in NZ or hold a valid NZ work visa.
