We've been baking the same way for 29 years to give you our signature delightful experience.About the role...The role of Area Manager at Bakers Delight New Zealand is the key facilitator of the overall store experience – implementing collaboratively with franchisees and leading the seamless execution of business strategies across your area through multiple lenses, such as Sales Results, Operational excellence, Visual Merchandising, Product and supporting our franchisees and their amazing teams.The Area Manager is the lead for the delivery of KPI results and to continuously build highly engaged, accountable and effective franchise operations. This sets the teams up for success from the outset and builds and coaches leaders that understand what excellence looks like and what is needed to achieve it.As a senior leader, you lead by example working alongside the franchisees. You show up as your best self each day, owning your results, always looking for opportunities to improve and grow, hungry for results and humble to learn how. As a key contributor to the family at support office, you think holistically. You are proactive in finding solutions and work in partnership with the wider business strategy to embed, improve and grow the Bakers Delight brand across New Zealand.Minimum Requirements:2 years' experience at Area management level, overseeing multiple stores in a similar environment preferred.A willingness to complete the bakery and franchise training.Ability to get your hands dirty and work alongside the franchisee.Prior experience developing business plans and assisting franchisees execute these plans.Proven success in coaching and developing teams, and individuals, to be successful.A strong customer centric mindset.Experience and working knowledge of how successful businesses operate in the retail food manufacturing landscape.A proven track-record in delivering exceptional KPI's results, cost management, effective rostering, brand experience and retail food store deliverables.A "think outside the box" mentality when it comes to driving change to get the result.A detailed understanding of Visual merchandising and how this can impact store performance as well as customer experience.Well versed in how to drive results through commercial decisions centred around product performance and placement in store.An understanding of procurement and the ability to work with suppliers.Ability to be a part of the franchise selection process to successfully recruit, build and retain high performing franchisees for future growth.A commitment to community and the importance of giving back.About You:Driven to constantly improve how things are done.Process driven and driven at implementing process.Eagerness to build personal & professional brand.Proud to go the extra mile & step up when needed.Self-starter – driven to make a mark, leave the role bigger than when you started it.Actively seek and take on feedback to get better.Self-aware to know strengths and gaps and humble enough to own them.Open to mentoring, coaching & hungry to learn from others.Resilient and able to identify when it is time to recharge.Demonstrates empathy, kindness & honesty - not only when it is easy.Highly personable with the ability to quickly build rapport, influence and read people.Mature minded with the tendency to be objective and look at both sides.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Do you have visual merchandising experience?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?Do you have experience as an area or multi-site manager?
