An Area Executive Officers' role can vary day to day, as you will oversee a multitude of administrative functions and portfolio. These include:Health & safetyBuilding and vehicle asset managementContractor managementEntry level financial handlingSecretariat support to the area leadersNot one day is ever the same, and your ability to take on unplanned tasks, projects, portfolios, attend to emergencies, and work under pressure will be your greatest asset.The role relies on building effective partnerships within and external to Police, including across the public sector and with our Iwi partners. As an Area Executive Officer for Piki Ki Te Ao, this will include Property Group & Contractors, Police National Fleet Group, equipment & supply vendors, managers of multiple workgroups located at Piki Ki Te Ao and many more.You'll be an experienced administration professional, who is an exceptional performer and passionate about delivering a high level of service.Key Accountabilities:Excellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and responsibilities effectivelyAbility to identify problems early including reviewing existing processes and protocolsAbility to use a systems approach to finding effective solutionsHe aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bringWhilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.Be a NZ Citizen or have permanent NZ residencyThis role is set at Team Leader/Manager level, this means your key purpose is "to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them."The work you'll be engaged in is real, tangible work that directly benefits our frontline and communities.
