AR-119 New Zealand Generalist Adults Psychiatrist Working with Rural Communities PsychiatryAlign Recruitment – Christchurch, South IslandIf you are board certified in Psychiatry and open to exploring a Christchurch-based position offering a high degree of flexibility traveling to clinics in beautiful, rural Canterbury province, then please reply for a confidential chat.This position is 42.5 hours a week, 1.0FTE. The successful Doctor will provide care to several clinics spread around the rural, farmland and mountainous areas outside Christchurch. Role includes collaboration with GPs and visits to medical practices, offering a necessary component when supporting our rural communities. You will use your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver innovative care that meets each individual's needs. You won't be alone in your work as you play a leading role collaborating with an established multi-disciplinary team contributing towards the ongoing development of client-centred support and treatment frameworks.You will be offered flexible working arrangements, with a strong focus on your career development.Minimum RequirementsBoard certified in Psychiatry;Must have specialist skills that map to the needs of serving a rural population;Must be eligible for your provisional, vocational registration in Psychiatry;Strong team player who puts clients and their whanau at the centre of everything you do;Able and willing to work independently, as appropriate;Able to develop new ways to work with clients and their families to improve outcomes;Must have a pleasant personality with a good sense of humour;Able and willing to travel outside of Christchurch occasionally, staying overnight in a small, rural community;Able to provide a clean police clearance for your work visa and employer;Able to meet Immigration New Zealand's health and police background check requirements for a work visa;Able and willing to commit to at least 12 months.Compensation details and additional information will be provided during the chat.Would you like to have a no-pressure, informational chat about the entire process from medical registration to interviewing for a job, work visa, and any other questions that you may have?New Zealand, our beautiful country, friendly people, and stable politics are closer than you think!
