Applications Officer Roading - Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover (Applications Close 2 September 2024)

·          Assist in the management and co-ordination of roadworks in our district.
·          Work within a dedicated team determined to raise the bar for our community.

A bit about the role Working within the Roading team, you will be responsible for effectively managing all road corridor access applications, including over dimension permits on behalf of Council, utility applications and stock underpasses.
You will also assist the roading team with contract administration, preparing contract document sets, etc.
and providing impeccable customer service replying to public enquiries in a timely manner ensuring accuracy of information.
This is a full-time role, covering parental leave until the end of November 2025.

Who are we looking for?
You will have a strong customer focus and people skills, be detail focussed and possess great organisational abilities.
Previous experience within a contractor or roading environment is preferred, along with experience working on Corridor Access Requests and knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to Transport Corridors.
