Southern Institute of Technology, a business division of Te Pukenga, has an opportunity for a full-time (37.5 hours a week) Application Specialist and Trainer to join our friendly and supportive digital team.The Application Specialist and Trainer plays an important role in delivering consistent, personalized technical support and training to a wide variety of staff members from across SIT, through face-to-face workshops, one-on-one sessions, and online. This role will report to the Technical Service Delivery Team Leader.While an Information Technology qualification along with at least five years of experience in delivering training within an educational environment is beneficial, a Training qualification is essential.In addition to the above, the successful candidate will possess the following:Excellent training and communication abilitiesExperience with SIT's core applications - Blackboard, SIMS/CRMS, Artena/Wisenet, and SharePoint.Friendly and approachable, with a passion for helping others enhance their IT knowledge and skillsAble to think on their feet and solve problems quicklyThis role is based at our Invercargill campus, where benefits include free on-site parking and gym.
