We have two modern and amazing Auckland sites - ARC Central in Freemans Bay, Auckland City, and ARC North in Albany, North Shore.Our emergency service operates 24/7 and is supported by specialists in small animal surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, dermatology, oncology, and critical care.We have all the equipment you would expect in a modern referral veterinary hospital including full in-house laboratory suite with Radiometer, multiparameter patient monitors, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, underwater treadmill, mechanical ventilation, on-site CT and MRI, along with dedicated cat and dog receptions, consulting rooms, and wards.We employ clever, like-minded people who love animals, their people, and delivering an excellent, well-rounded service.ARC values:We are one teamWe do right by our patientsWe value growthWe take ownershipWe make referrals easyOur successful candidates must have a positive attitude, be approachable and open with excellent communication skills as well as a passion for every aspect of emergency veterinary care. A NZ equivalent veterinary qualification and at least 2 years' experience as a veterinarian is required. Experience in emergency work is helpful but not required as our large team can provide support and a collaborative working environment.As well as seeing emergency cases from all over New Zealand, the ER team also provides a vital role of looking after specialist inpatients including unusual and critical cases. We try and fit the roster to individual preferences where possible.Is this you?At least two years' experience in high quality small animal emergency practice.Team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.Motivated, adaptable with a positive attitude.Uphold high clinical standards.Accuracy and skilled excellence in service to clients and their animals.Maintain a working knowledge of OSH and HSNO Compliance.Provide sound and experienced advice on health and welfare of animals.Prescribing, preparing, dispensing and advising on the use of medicines, drugs, animal remedies to owners of animals.Compliance with the Veterinarians Act, ACVM Act, Animal Welfare Act and ERMA – HSNO Act.Compliance with Veterinary Council of New Zealand – code of professional conduct for veterinarians.High degree of computer literacy on Microsoft products and databases.Highly effective in time management.Some understanding of relevant privacy and confidentiality in relation to veterinary practice.Proven ability to communicate effectively with different personalities, ethnicities, and cultures.If this sounds like you, we would love you to join our team!
