About the role: In your role as Analyst, you will play a key role supporting the broader New Zealand Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Oceania (GCIB) team primarily through administration and operational requirements, driving efficiencies, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role will work closely with the GCIB NZ Business Head with an ongoing focus on freeing up Relationship Manager capacity. What you'll be doing: Work closely with the GCIB Front Office team providing support and completing a large majority of administration and operational requirements of the business. Support the on-boarding of new clients as part of our local, regional and global growth plans. Support the day-to-day GCIB NZ business operations. Act as the first point of contact for any operations teams internally with regards to GCIB NZ. Maintain and update the AKL Customer contact database and Direct Debit database. Promptly process indemnities and settlement instructions in line with internal procedures. Request ad-hoc approvals from management for fee waivers and non-receipt of payments. Support Relationship Managers through issuing Amex, iPhones, or any system access requests. Serve as the first point of contact for any system issues for the New Zealand team. Ensure all gifts and hospitality provided or received from customers are in line with MUFG's ABC policy. Manage the administration branch from stocking stationery to ensuring vendor invoices are processed within the timeframe. What we are looking for: Previous experience in a front office administrative and support role, preferably supporting multiple stakeholders. Ability to prioritize across a range of tasks. Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Understanding of financial and economic markets will be beneficial. Ability to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking with a high level of attention to detail. Strong professional written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work autonomously and proactively. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills are essential. Personable and professional manner at all times.
