Analyst, Data & Insights

The New Zealand Government is seeking an Analyst, Data & Insights to provide and analyze data for improved business decision-making. This role will be a part of the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP), focusing on data processes optimization, analytical reporting, and storytelling to present MPP's narratives. The position is based in Wellington and offers a full-time, permanent opportunity.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

Provide and analyze varied information to enhance decision-making.

This role requires you to have:

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in data analytics, research, evidence-based decision making, or insights generation.
Experience in supporting the development and implementation of data management processes.
Proficiency with digital tools for creating visual data stories.
Ability to build productive relationships with team members and support staff across the Ministry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills adaptable to different contexts.
Sound judgment.
Awareness or understanding of government mechanisms.
