Who we are:
Te Tahu Hauora Health Quality and Safety Commission (Te Tahu Hauora) is a stand-alone Crown entity with a board responsible to the Minister of Health. Te Tahu Hauora is responsible for assisting providers, both private and public, across the whole health and disability sector to improve service safety and quality and therefore outcomes for all those who use these services in Aotearoa New Zealand. The role:
The purpose of this role is to provide technical advice and deliver high level, analytic, reporting and insights of key projects and work streams. This role will focus on supporting the Mental Health and Addiction Quality Improvement programme transition from Te Tahu Hauora to Health New Zealand. This programme is a national initiative working with health districts to ensure that people who experience mental health and addiction issues, and their whanau, receive high quality care. This role is fixed term until June 2025; this can also be a secondment opportunity.
About you: To be successful in this position, you will need: Experience working with PRIMHD and other health data sets.
Experience working with project teams to develop meaningful insights on improvement work.
Ability to be proactive in assisting the team and finding solutions to data issues as they arise.
Advanced data analysis skills, experience in R preferred.
Ability to create effective visualisations; experience with Tableau or R Shiny is a plus.
