Ko wai matou - About us At Manatu Hauora Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Investigation and Enforcement Team (as part of Medsafe) is primarily responsible for investigation of breaches of the Medicines Act and enforcement actions, including prosecution and border control activities relating to the importation of therapeutic products.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do The advisor is responsible for providing timely, appropriate and correct technical advice to members of the public and stakeholders about importation of therapeutic goods and ensuring that such imports are compliant with legislation. Decisions will be based on technical and legislative knowledge. They will provide technical support to the IET and other areas of Medsafe as well as maintaining databases.
