The Information Services team provides Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) with a modern technology environment that enables the organisation to leverage information and systems for better safety outcomes.
Leveraging technology and developing our digital assets to create, use and share high-quality data, information and insights to drive robust decision-making, better organisational agility and responsive Maritime NZ future thinking.
We lead MNZ's information, communications, technology services and systems, providing infrastructure and connectivity.
Te tunga | The role The training component of this role will involve performing training needs analysis, developing training collateral, and facilitating training sessions in a range of settings, i.e., 1:1 and in small groups and via different channels where appropriate.
You will also take responsibility for reporting on the effectiveness of training and maintaining training records in the learning management system.
The training will be predominantly focused on IM systems but will cover other systems as and when required.
Demonstrated experience managing records and information within a government context.Strong understanding of the Public Records Act, Official Information Act, and Privacy Act.Ability to deliver effective training in various formats, including one-on-one, group, and virtual sessions.Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.Experience using and maintaining an EDRMS.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.Strong relationship-building skills across all organisational levels.A collaborative approach and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.Relevant tertiary qualification in information management or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience, and an ongoing commitment to professional development.Maritime NZ recognises and respects te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Maori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Salary range: $85,079 - $103,728 depending on skills and experience + superannuation.
