National Road Policing Centre (NRPC) is an essential part of the road safety sector and provides important services to the Commissioner, Police Executive and Districts in respect of delivery of road safety prevention, education and enforcement activities.
NRPC vision is to be known as a trusted and sought after leader in Road Safety, with a purpose to lead Police and work alongside sector partners to reduce Deaths and Serious Injuries on our roads.
This role is part of the Strategy and Finance team, responsible for leading and developing key strategies that align to Our Business, the Government Road Safety strategy and to implement those strategies through effective use of information (including financial data) to support high performance. They lead the preparation of the Road Safety Investment Programme, which underpins the delivery of Police's road safety activities across New Zealand and supports sound investment decisions.
With a changing environment across the sector, the NRPC are looking for a highly motivated person with attention to detail, with the primary responsibility of supporting the development of internal and external strategic documents and managing the Official Information portfolio.
Key Accountabilities:
Strong business communication skills, excellent report writing skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
Ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.
Strong influencing and problem-solving skills.
Highly motivated, organized, takes initiative and is outcomes driven.
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate information for the appropriate audience.
Scope, coordinate and prepare responses to requests for information within the requirements of the relevant legislation.
An understanding of the machinery of Government is desirable.

Utu a-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $95,057 and $100,626 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
