Adviser - Money and Cash Policy at Reserve Bank of New Zealand, WellingtonAdviser - Money and Cash Policy

This is a fixed term opportunity to take a leadership role across the team's research and policy work programme, with a focus on currency and payments issues. You will lead the policy development work related to the team's wider Future of Money and Payments work.

Te turanga - The role As the Adviser in the Money and Cash policy team you will take a leadership role in the Future of Money and Payments work programme, working closely with colleagues across the Reserve Bank. Alongside this you will;
Engage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Provide technical leadership and contribute to the advice given around policy decisions
Build and maintain capability across the wider team to align with policy goals and vision of operational excellence
This is a fixed term opportunity through to June 2026. O pukenga - About you

You are experienced at what you do and have the passion to share this knowledge with your team. You like using your experience and inquisitive nature to solve problems and deliver workable solutions. You are an excellent communicator who openly contributes and can articulate information in a clear and concise way to both internal and external stakeholders. Alongside this you will coach, develop and guide members of your team through your knowledge, and actively encourage innovation and practical approaches to making decisions.

You'll need:
Relevant professional experience with a tertiary qualification in either economics/finance/law and/or public policy
Demonstrable experience in leading and contributing to complex analytical and policy projects
A collaborative approach with the ambition to share your knowledge with those around you
Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships particularly with external stakeholders
The anticipated appointment range for this role is $149,675 to $162,148 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
