Advanced Support Worker – Waikato

Working collaboratively with the care coordination and community nurse teams and under indirect supervision of the supervising clinician, the Advanced Support Worker (ASW) conducts non-complex, low-level client evaluations that are determined by the local Care Coordinator Team Leader. The ASW delivers complex client care and other advanced tasks for which they have received training and competency verification by their clinical line manager. The ASW will also provide leadership, on-the-job, and just-in-time training that they have been deemed competent to provide to less experienced support workers to assist in the development of the SW workforce. Work alongside Regional Trainers, Nurses, and Support Workers, assisting the development of the Support Worker workforce by overseeing SW competencies.
