Have meaningful impact as an Advanced Analytics Specialist Your Role The role of the Advanced Analytics Specialist is to utilize analytics and data science techniques to enable better business understanding and decision-making.
You'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary squad on the Complaints Transformation Program and contribute to the re-engineering and re-design of the way complaints and customer relations have been handled in Direct Insurance Australia (DIA) within IAG.
Leverage your in-depth analytical knowledge of data, artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities such as natural language processing (NLP) and domain reporting roadmaps to build for reuse, support rapid delivery, and improve time-to-value.
You'll take a central role in designing, developing, and deploying analytics models and insights for impactful business decision-making to drive actionable outcomes.
This role will establish and maintain robust communication with business units, squad leads, and various technical teams to fully comprehend and address their needs.
Taking the initiative in advancing and maintaining sophisticated data analytics standards within the team, thereby elevating the overall analytical capability.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role open to candidates in all major cities in Australia.
About You • Solid experience in data analytics, insights, or data science • Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools and techniques to solve complex business problems • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and information into actionable business decision-making • Experience of using AI and NLP across large data sets to identify trends, drivers, and issues in either a Data Analyst or Data Scientist role • Understanding and navigating large complex data warehouse and schemas • Excellent skills with SQL and good knowledge of analytical tools such as R, Python, and NLP concepts • Good understanding of data visualization and reporting in Tableau, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Knowledge and experience of working with customer-facing or complaints data required.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Statistics/Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
