ABOUT THE ROLE As our work increases, we require more tutors/trainers for our workplace-based programmes. Primarily this is for our Workplace Literacy and Numeracy funded programmes but may also be for our Intensive Literacy programme.
Workplace programmes generally run for about 10-40 weeks delivering sessions of approximately 2-4 hours per week, per programme. Programmes can be delivered on-site. Trainers can work as little as 2 hours per week or up to 20 hours depending on funding availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES work to deliver on specifically scoped goals on bespoke workplace literacy and numeracy projects.maintain accurate attendance records and compile administrative tasks as per HLC/LTTM policies and procedures. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE experience tutoring either in the workplace or at Levels 1 to 3 in a community or tertiary settingto hold (or be working towards) the National or New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (NCALNE) OR an equivalent qualificationa passion for supporting people to build their knowledge and skills have knowledge and confidence in tutoring in the areas of communication, English Language, leadership, H&S, digital (computing skills and software) and/or financial literacy It would be beneficial if you:
