The Organisation
Nga Tamariki Puawai o Tamaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has a long history in New Zealand in the Early Childhood Education sector, beginning in 1908 in Freemans Bay. We now have 107 kindergartens, four KiNZ centres, five Playgroups, and support services staff forming our organisation.
The Role
Be part of an amazing team in a fun environment where tamariki are the focus. You will work closely with both kaiako and other support staff, as well as our kindergarten whanau, whilst primarily being responsible for the day-to-day administration processes, including enrolments, accounts, and providing support to the Head Kaiako and teaching team.
Things to note
This is a permanent, part-time position. There is flexibility in the 12 hours per week which can be spread over 2-3 days.
You will only be working during the Kindergarten Term time.
Have previous administration and accounts experience, preferably in an Early Childhood environment, but this is not essential.
Be a confident communicator displaying professional maturity.
Able to build and maintain outstanding relationships with our diverse community.
Be flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player who is not afraid to pitch in where needed.
Be able to self-manage, use initiative, and work independently to achieve positive outcomes.
Have strong computer skills (preferably using Mac).
Have strong attention to detail.
