We are a strong supportive whakawhanaungatanga (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.The role/Te mahiJoin a diverse and committed team in this exciting role based at Ashburton Hospital within the newly established Centre for Rural Health. The Centre supports the Otago Medical School's rural health teaching and research activities.• You will deliver administrative support to the Rural Medical Immersion Programme (RMIP) (5th Year students), the Rural Postgraduate programme, and our RMIP Course Directors, who are academic staff based in Ashburton and regionally.• Although you will be based at Ashburton Hospital, you will support staff and students across the motu.We are seeking a proactive customer-focused Administrator with excellent relationship-building skills who thrives in busy environments. You will play a pivotal role in the activities of the Centre, working with a remotely based team, and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Key skills required in this role include:Previous experience in a fast-paced complex administration environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to adapt and navigate new systems.Excellent organisational, time management skills, and attention to detail.An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our students, staff, and visitors.Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term position until September 2026, located in Ashburton.The appointment range for this role is $59,285 to $63,651.
