Te Haeata/The Opportunity As a Coronial Services Administration Support Officer, you will be based in Christchurch and will work alongside Case managers and Coroners.
You will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the office in the Christchurch Court.
On occasion, there may be times when you are called upon to assist on other matters or other Coroners outside your region.
These key responsibilities will include: Efficient and effective administrative services Confidential and professional secretarial and word processing support Ensuring our electronic database (CMS) is up to date, complete and accurate.
Liaising and providing information to stakeholders and Government Agencies, in particular; Interested parties, Police, Medical practitioners and Pathologists and others.
Services to support the management of, and attendance by, Coroners and Coronial Services personnel at meetings and events You will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the Coroners, but also be capable of dealing with distraught family members in sensitive circumstances.
An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
You will be expected to provide excellent and highly organised case management support to our Coroners and Case managers.
You will need to build and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will: Be able to handle accessing and viewing graphic coronial material Relationship Management and communication skills are key, both internally and externally as you will be dealing with incredibly delicate information Have an understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga Maori Be highly organised, able to prioritise and multitask in an autonomous manner Strong understanding of the MS Office Suite No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.

You will be working within the small but supportive team in Christchurch, supporting the Coroners and Case managers.
